People have asked what the passionate fire is. Fire in its self is a chemical reaction, between three different chemical compounds or elements, each which has stored energy. You must have this right kind of mixture in order for a fire to happen. For example, for a fire to occur these items have to come together: heat; fuel; and oxygen. Remove any of them and the fire will not happen.

In a Spiritual sense we need three compounds to experience the fullness of Gods power. We need the stored energy of heat (our salvation). When Jesus transforms our life the Scriptures say we are made alive unto Christ. Rather than being cold to the things of God we are drawn by Christ’s life and work for us on the cross to the warmth and heat of a relationship with God. There is an energy that has awakened our spiritual deadness and that energy is the life of Christ dwelling with in us. (Rom 6:11) – Likewise consider yourselves to be dead unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

We need fuel as well if the fire of God is going to burn within us. The Scriptures teach us that we can experience a Baptism of Fire when the Holy Spirit comes upon us. This is a work that is different from the work of salvation. The Holy Spirit (likened to oil) is the fuel that enables God’s supernatural energy to flow in and over us to those around us who are not yet awakened. (Matt 3:11) – I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire.

Many believe that the heat of Christ’s life and the fuel of the Holy Spirit is all that is needed for the passionate fire to exist. However, as God’s creation has taught us, fire needs three elements to burn. The third, oxygen – is crucial to the substance of fire. When we breathe in the needs and the essence of our culture we began to burn with a desire to see our world made alive to God’s plans and purposes. (Matt 9:36-38) – But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

Einstein’s said “when any matter burns it undergoes a change and there is an energy transfer”. We believe the Holy Fire of God’s Spirit results in a hot blue flame- a passion that transfers and transforms life wherever it burns.
