Dave Hensman serves as the Pastor of “the Gathering”. He is an experienced church planter, businessman, city councilor, evangelist, & public speaker. Hensman, grew up in Havelock North, New Zealand, became a follower of Jesus and received his call to ministry in 1975 at the age of 17. After planting churches between 1992 and 2006 he began Nex Gen World Leadership in (2008 to present) a ministry that trains young leaders, hosts conferences and large scale outreach events called “Good News Festivals”. In 2014 Good News Festivals held the largest historical Christian festival in Sahiwal Pakistan where over 5000 people became followers of Christ. Hensman is known for his passionate teaching of the Bible in a contemporary style that today’s families are benefiting from. He and his wife Dee have two grown daughters, a great son-in-law and two grandchildren.
